Metaphor Is Like A Simile

At least once a year Aaron and I decide it’s a really good idea to spend insane amounts of time in a vehicle together and go on a “vacation” which usually involves much sight-seeing and a lot less sleep than we’re used to.  This year is no exception.  However, things are a little different this time around.  Today, I’m shooting a wedding until around supper time.  After which, I will race home, backup all my images from the wedding, quickly repack my gear, bid farewell to our monsters and our amazing house watcher/animal babysitter, climb into the vehicle, and hit the road.  We have decided it would be a brilliant idea to drive through the night tonight, and travel the 18+ hours in one continuous adventure, in hopes we make it to Vancouver by tomorrow afternoon.  Better yet, approximately 12 hours after we arrive I’ll be shooting another wedding.  Sound crazy yet?  Needless to say, we are both REALLY looking forward to Monday when we have some wandering and tourist adventures planned.

I should also mention… that wedding I’m shooting, it’s my little brothers.  Yes, it’s going to be a crazy week.
