Metaphor Is Like A Simile

photographer, writer, book hoarder, animal lover, coffee consumer, nerd

Since Mr. T. has never been to Vancouver one of the things I absolutely wanted to make sure he was able to visit while we were there was Granville Island.  We had very little time for sight-seeing while we were there, but we did end up spending the better part of a day wandering around Granville.

My favorite part – Feeding the birds :)

The geese came in and ruined our fun by beating up on the pigeons, but it was fun until they crashed the party.

We booked a tour of the Granville Island Brewery, but we had a bit of time to kill before our tour so we explored the harbour.

We found a friend along the way…

Finally it was time for our tour!

After the tour wrapped up, which was only lunch time, I didn’t take any more pictures.  I don’t know why because the last half of our time on Granville Island was undoubtedly the better part.  We met up with Aaron’s dear friend from high school for lunch.  He hadn’t seen her in close to ten years, but since Aaron and I met I have spoken to her through Facebook, followed her on Instagram etc. and already felt as though I had known her for years when in reality  we met for the first time that day.  I have always felt as though I’m extremely socially awkward and have a hard time making ‘for real’ friends.  She was wonderful though and I’m so glad that we were able to meet up with her that day :)

After we parted ways, Mr. T. and I wandered the market and picked up some fresh bakery bread, specialty chocolates, and amazing meats from the deli to eat on our drive home.

Overall, we had a pretty good day wandering around and exploring!
